The Melbourne Scarves are designed exclusively for Melbournestyle as original prints on silk. Designed by Maree Coote, they feature both Melbourne and more broadly Australian themes. Drawing inspiration from her study of Melbourne's history, she also references historic ephemera and collage works, esoteric imagery, totemic Australian fauna and flora and literary references ranging from historic biographies and geographic and natural history references. The designer has mixed several techniques, combining traditional processes such as painting, calligraphy and hand-drawing with digital techniques.
Each 97x97cm scarf is limited in edition (50 only of each design per collection) and exquisitely boxed in Melbournestyle's signature lime green box adorned with the flying tram. $250 each. Please enquire instore to ascertain the availability of your selected design as the limited edition expires.
